Stick Boy's Back

I can now run for over 1 hour, not exactly sure of distance, but I figure I'm about 20% of the way there now. I'm going to try for 1.5-2hrs this weekend. I've been swimming 2-3 times a week too, not exactly sure why since I don't think there will be much water for me to jump into while running. Everyone better keep up the training...I'll be up around 4:30 a.m. for a morning run...Les, let me know if you want to meet me.

NO BEHIND

Happy Monday everyone! UGH! Anyway, Havent been able to walk since yesterday! Saturday morning I went to the Y and took this circuit training class from 8am-10am. We did over 100 lunges and ran stairs from 15 minutes. I think i worked out muscles that i havent used in 30 years! Now i am paying for it. It hurts so bad to walk. Tonight I have another class but its just an aerobic class that im going to try and go to if I am able too. Also, Clay and I are going to go to YOGA tomorrow night which i think will help us with some good stretching techniques.

Hello Everyone - I'm Here

Just thought I needed to post something since I haven't yet.

Well, I went out walking the other night for the first time in many many moons and needless to say I'm really in bad shape. My knees were making popping noises and my toes were killing me. I could feel the blisters forming and boy was I right. My toes look like they have been burned and they feel worse than they look. Clay, I really need to know where your toe socks came from. Either that or I need new feet, or a whole new body would do. Wouldn't that be nice, just trade it in for a better model. What Fun.

Well Good Luck To Everyone - I'm so excited we're all doing this together.

GO PINKBERRY'S

Jenn....

Stick Boy

I hope everyone appreciates the time I took to come up with your nickname...some were a little more difficult than others. It sounds like the Okies are actually taking this thing seriously and working out as they finish their home repairs. Lara mentioned something about whipping all of the other girls in the 5k.

An update on me, I ran the Outrigger 5k on Saturday and then ran 4 miles on Sunday night and swam about 1100 yards on Monday morning. Tonight I just finished around 4-4.5 miles and I'll swim and bike again in the morning with another 3-4 mile run at night.

It's definitely getting easier than it was 3 weeks ago, but 4 miles is a lonnnngggg way from 26.2.

There is one more ABERRY without a blueberry and i think we both deserve one. Anyway, just got back in the gym Saturday from being out over a week with a sinus infection and red throat. I had to push myself to go work-out. I did elliptical for 45 minutes then walked on treadmill for 2 miles with 5 pound weights. Thought i was going to die! Stubby Legs ran 11 miles on Saturday morning in about 1 hour and 20 minutes. I was extremely proud of him! When he walked in, there was not a dry spot on his body. He was very sweaty and red-faced. Sunday morning, Clay and I got up and went for a run together outside. I think i lost my mind. It was so hot and I thought my face was going to explode...it was sooooooooo RED. We ran for about 30 minutes straight then i had to walk. Of course, Clay was fine and not out of breath at all. This was not even a workout for him now that he is running half marathons every other day!
